Suniel Shetty dropped a major hint about daughter Athiya Shetty and son-in-law KL Rahul embracing parenthood for the first time
Bollywood actor Suneil Shetty has been over the moon ever since his daughter Athiya Shetty tied the knot with cricketer KL Rahul in 2023. Being one of the most popular couples, the actress is often seen attending her hubby’s cricket matches and extending her support to him. Fans were often left ecstatic seeing the lovebirds spending quality time together. Now more than a year later, the veteran actor dropped a hint about his daughter’s first pregnancy on a dance reality show.
As reported by Pinkvilla, Suniel is currently one of the judges on the popular dance reality show Dance Deewane alongside Madhuri Dixit. The incident happened during the latest episode of the show called Grandparents Special. During the episode, host Bharti Singh hilariously tells Shetty how he needs to behave when he becomes a nana (maternal grandfather) since no kid would be able to handle a cool grandparent like him. Reacting to the jab, he stated that he would walk on the stage as a nana during the next season. Quoted by the entertainment portal, he said, “Yes, next season when I come I will be walking on the stage like a Nana.” The 62-year-old actor’s declaration has certainly left the fans gaga over the good news. Netizens have been eagerly waiting for the couple to officially announce it. It is to be noted that Athiya and Rahul love to lead a simple life and keep their life private from the prying eyes of the internet. For the unversed, the couple met through a common friend and instantly connected at their first meeting itself. They later fell in love and have been in a steady relationship for over three years now. They made their relationship official during the screening of Athiya’s brother Ahaan Shetty’s film Tadap in December 2021. They tied the knot in the presence of their close friends and family at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala bungalow, in January 2023.
